Company History

In Northern California are two multi-million dollar homes that share one mysterious detail—they both have secret rooms whose entrances are kept hidden with the very first Hidden Doors.

In 1997, the founder of The Hidden Door Company was challenged by the owners of the two homes to develop a way to completely hide the doorways to these two rooms in a way that did not interrupt the elegant and sophisticated design of their homes. The challenge was met, and these initial designs were so successful that requests for more custom designs and applications soon followed.

The Hidden Door Company has been successfully promoting custom doors ever since, with extremely pleased clients across the country!  The idea is simple: we can replace any swing-style door opening with a fully functional bookcase, or any other idea that you can dream of.
